A guest recently said something to me that really touched my heart. She said the thing that stands out most about our program is that it is so much more than just a health retreat, it’s also a kind of home stay and cultural immersion experience. She was very appreciative for what she learned about health and more so for the feeling of being part of our family and the charisma she felt from interactions with our neighbors. I realized  she experienced a kind of village life from our community that is like a small island community just within the outer boundary of the larger city of Pokhara.

An impromptu gathering of neighbors in our house for Tihar, the Festival of Lights

It felt so good to my wife and I to realize we actually created this homelike atmosphere quite by accident. We just live our normal life while offering our experience and a collection of our many talents in natural healing because we just like to share and help people feel good. And with our neighbors we are intimately connected with the Nepali culture that surrounds us and embraces us. Radha is so uplifted to offer her excellent traditional Nepali cuisine and share stories of her life which spans the 10 year civil war and the tragic recent earthquake. It has been a life of struggle  and overcoming of difficulties with deep faith , perseverance, and self realization that she and the Nepali people demonstrate so well. So we are grateful for the people who have come from many corners of the planet and show their appreciation for what we have to offer.
